How to Book Your Trip

2. Interview: Challenge Life International requires all interested adventures to undertake a short 5 minute phone interview to ascertain the suitability of our packages to your needs, to ensure that we understand each others mutual expectations and to match you with a group of other like minded people!
3. Application and Deposit: If you are satisfied that you would like to undertake a Challenge Life International adventure then this is the time to place your application. Click here to download the Application Form. To secure your booking you will be required to provide a $200 deposit.

4. Confirmation: Once we have received your application and deposit we will send you written confirmation of your booking along with further information including a detailed itinerary, medical form, participation agreement, detailed clothing list, travel requirements and any other information pertinent to your chosen adventure.
5. Air Travel: If air travel is required, Challenge Life International will arrange all flights and transfers upon request. We strongly recommend that Challenge Life International arrange your travel or you arrange your travel in consultation with us so that you will be able to travel with other members of your adventure and make sure your timeframes are appropriate.
6. Final Instructions: Two weeks before our departure date we will send you final details of all flights, arrival and departure times, last minute instructions and information about the Team Leaders who will accompany you!
7. Call us anytime: Please feel free to contact any of the Challenge Life International team at any time leading up to your departure – we are here to help and welcome and questions or queries to make sure your trip is the best it can be for you!
SECTION B – TERMS & CONDITIONS, PARTICIPANT INDEMNITY AND PUBLICITY RELEASE
The Company requires both parents of applicants under the age of 18 years (or the parent with whom the applicant is living if the parents are separated or divorced) and the applicants aged 18 years or over to sign the Agreement set out below. This Agreement is a legal document, which contains an EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AND AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK CLAUSE. These conditions will affect the legal rights of the parents and the applicants. It is essential that you read it carefully and, if you wish, obtain independent legal advice on it.
This Agreement is made between Challenge Life International Pty Ltd (the Company) and either the (1) parent or parents named on this application form where the applicant/s also named on this application form are under the age of 18 years, OR (2) the applicant/s named on this application form who are 18 years or over and his or her parents named on this application form (the contracting parties).
Indemnity and Waiver
A. In consideration of the individual(s) named on this application form being accepted as a participant in a Challenge Life International Pty Ltd event, the contracting parties hereby agree with the Company that:
1. The Company shall have no liability whatsoever in negligence, breach of contract, breach of statute or statutory duty from the applicants, the parents or any dependant thereof or their legal representative for personal injury or death suffered by the applicants or the parents arising in any way whatsoever from the supply by the Company of recreational services to the applicants, including but not limited to water sports, paragliding, mountain bike riding, horse riding, scuba diving, bungy jumping, shot over jet boat riding, white water rafting, or transportation by land, air or sea, within or without of Australia, accommodation within or without of Australia, supervision (including 24 hour supervision when the applicants are attending any venue away from the Challenge Life International Pty Ltd’s chosen place of accommodation, including venues within or without of Australia).
2. The contracting parties acknowledge that sports are dangerous recreational activities with many inherent risks as a result of which personal injury (and sometimes death) are common and ordinary consequences. The contracting parties hereby FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME AND ACCEPT all risk of personal injury or death in any way whatsoever arising from sports and activities; and agree to inform themselves and assess all the dangers, hazards and risks of participating in their chosen form of conduct. Further the contracting parties and any dependant thereof and their legal representative release the Company and waive all liability and claims with respect to the supply of recreational services to the applicants and the applicants’ participation in sports.
3. The contracting parties hereby jointly and severally agree to FULLY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the Company from all claims, demands, actions and suits which may at any time hereafter be brought by or on behalf of the applicants, the parents or any other person against the Company for personal injury or death suffered by the applicants, the parents, or by any other person or caused by the applicants to any other person in any way whatsoever arising out of the participation of the applicants in sports or activities.
4. The contacting parties acknowledge and agree that they are fully satisfied as to the applicants’ physical and medical condition to participate in sports and activities.
5. The contracting parties acknowledge that this Agreement:
a) is an agreement for the supply of recreational services,
b) is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia and agree that the Courts of the State of Victoria shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and
c) constitutes the entire agreement between the contracting parties and the Company and is intended to be interpreted as broadly as possible against the contracting parties and in favour of the Company.
6. If any applicant(s) named in the application form is/are under the age of 18 years, the parents of the applicant(s) (or the parent with whom the
applicant is living if the parents are separated or divorced), acknowledges and agrees as follows:
a) the applicant is under the age of 18 at the date of signing the agreement,
b) I/we have read and understood the agreement and have fully explained to the applicant the terms and effects, and
c) The applicant has read the agreement and, together with the benefit of our explanation understands its terms and effects, and
d) The agreement is for the benefit of the applicant.
7. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be illegal or unenforceable, all other parts shall still be given full legal force and effect.
a) The term “the applicants” refers to the individual or individuals whose name(s) appear on the application form of which the Agreement forms a part.
b) The terms “Challenge Life International Pty Ltd” and “The Company” both refers to Challenge Life International Pty Ltd, its members, employees, servants, agents, all coaches, instructors, representatives and volunteers acting for or on behalf of the Company from time to time.
c) The term “the parents” refers to the primary guardian(s) of the applicants.
d) The term “the contracting parties” refers to the parents who have signed this agreement and any applicant 18 years or over who has signed this agreement.
Other Terms
B. In consideration of the applicant(s) named on this application form being considered as a participant of a Challenge Life International event, the contracting parties hereby also agree with the Company that:
1. The applicants will (and the parents will procure that the applicants will):
a) Abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct as published on the website www.challengelifeinternational.com as amended by the Company from time to time.
2. The Company may provisionally accept an applicant who has not previously been a participant in the Company’s program. The Company has the right in its absolute discretion to accept or refuse an application. If the applicant is rejected, the applicant will be refunded all fees paid by or on behalf of the applicant to the Company in respect of its event.
3. Once the applicants are accepted or provisionally accepted to the Company’s event program, the deposit paid and any other moneys paid by or on behalf of the applicants under this agreement shall be non-refundable. This Clause applies to all circumstances, including an applicant withdrawing from an event as a result of illness or injury.
4. Upon the event being fully booked, a refund will be forwarded to the applicant who withdrew from the event less 20% of the amount paid.
5. The parents will abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct as published on the website www.challengelifeinternational.com as amended by the Company from time to time.
Code of Conduct
Challenge Life International is committed to providing all participants with a once in a lifetime adventure – in order to ensure that everyone has a fantastic time there are a few fundamental rules that must be adhered to at all times. Breaking these rules may result in immediate termination of your participation agreement and dismissal without refund.
• Our adventures are AWESOME – please bring with you a positive attitude, enthusiasm to participate and a determination to challenge yourself beyond your wildest expectations.
• Alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, offensive weapons, and pornographic material must not be taken.
• Using language which is offensive, sexist or racist;
• Fighting, bullying or any other forms of aggressive behaviour;
• All participants should respect others right to privacy;
• Being in the dormitories of the opposite sex;
• Leaving Challenge Life International’s accommodation house boundaries without permission;
• Behaving in a manner which is potentially dangerous to self and others;
• Behaving in a manner which dam's or vandalises the property of others or the environment;
• Theft of any Challenge Life International property or any personal property damage.
• We highly recommend that Mobile phones and other valuable possessions best left at home as Challenge Life International cannot be held responsible for missing or damaged personal items.
• As a health precaution students are advised not to bring Aerosol Propellant Cans e.g. deodorant sprays
